My top 5 (in no particular order)::
- FoW and UW Free Access
- Rare Chest Loot
- Rare Elite Area Drops
- Elite Area Free Access
- Rare (gold) Drops
Ya, i am a bit PvE focused as of late. This list would probly change quite often as sometimes i get addicted to HA, or other PvP. Then back to PvE... lol
I always have plans for when i log on, but on weekends i always get sidetracked cause of the weekend events! DARN YOU GENEROUS ANET! DARN YOU!! lol!
cheers.

Access weekends are BY FAR my guild's (of 80-90 people) favorite events. These are the ones our guild had the most participation in...
* Unique (green) drops
* Double Fame
* Elite Missions
* The Fissure of Woe and The Underworld

The ones I have enjoyed most have been:
Gamer Weekend
Ales and Clovers
Not really made much use of the others.
An idea for a future event - How about double Domain of Anguish Gem drops?
It's taking me forever to save up for that Ambrace!

* Elite Missions
* Shing Jea Boardwalk
* Gamer Weekend (access to Shing Jea Boardwalk, Dragon Arena, Rollerbeetle Racing)
* Snowball Arena
* The Fissure of Woe and The Underworld
* PvP Character Access to Competitive Missions
These were all great. I also enjoyed the Double-XP weekends, and thing that XP should be even MORE acccessible within game, but my favorite weekend so far has been the Elite-mission/FoW-UW access for multiple reasons. Mainly:
1) Normally I solo FoW/UW because there aren't really teams available for me, and I'm saving up for my Necro-Fissure armor. When there were teams available, I was more inclined to join them (though I still like soloing).
2) It dampens the market for the rare crafting material which is (imo) still vastly too expensive. I've been farming for a month now and still only have about half of the materials necessary for FoW armor (60 Ecto 40 Shards).
3) It's actually "fun" to play with a team.
On the negative side, however... I had to play with A LOT of noob teams, and I watched 40+shards (yes 40+) and at least 10 ecto drop on teams that I was in, none of them for me [the dedicated gamer]. All of them went to people that just jumped in for the weekend and said WHAAZZZAAA I just made 20k!! Moderately annoying, but if access were given freely, time would give them experience, and make runs last longer.
So I guess I'll just keep soloing for my armor for now (though I'm starting to consider just selling off the materials due to the release of GW2 in a few years, and my current characters becoming useless).
Cheers.

So far the really successful and enjoyable weekends in my alliance have been:
* (free access to) The Fissure of Woe and The Underworld
* Double Faction in Alliance Battles
* Double XP
* Rare Chest Loot
We're able to really make a weekend of all the above - skill capping, faction-earning, farming, chest running, exploring etc. They've been great for getting people on and playing together.
Lastly, as it's a) great fun, b) an opportunity to work on lucky/gamer titles and c) a break from 'normal' PvE/PvP:
* Gamer Weekend (access to Shing Jea Boardwalk, Dragon Arena, Rollerbeetle Racing)

Double XP (for elite skill caps)
Hero Armor Upgrades
Unique (green) drops
XP scroll duration
Gamer Weekend
As an aside, I think it benefits the entire population to mix up PvP and PvE oriented events. This gives everybody a shot at some extra fun...

Keep the weekend events small and fun, ala St. Patrick's Day. Save the development time for the annual events and the next release.

My top 5, well top 4 because I can't really find 5 that have been worthwhile:
Rare item drop:
* Shamrock Ale and Four-Leaf Clover
Access to:
* Gamer Weekend
* Snowball Arena
*The Fissure of Woe and The Underworld
Double benefits and double drops, I'd quite happy see scrapped all togheter, they do absolutely nothing for me.
Yet another farming weekend is nothing special. It's not like the community needs any extra incentive to go farming for X items, faction, XP etc... They do that quite happily on their own.
I'd rather see less weekend events - but where those events are something special, something out of the ordinary.
What I'd also like to see is more events, like the st Patrick's day one. Which is accessable to the whole community, those event items dropped everywhere, even in beginner areas.
Including the new players in these events. There still are those, remember, people who've just bought the game and don't yet have a lvl 20 ascended character.
It'd be a nice touch to include those a little bit more often. Make a little show of actually caring about the new guys.
Not that you should stop doing things like access to FoW & UW, just get a bit more balance perhaps. Maybe one in 5 events being a perk even for the new player with a new character, rather an event they can take part in once every blue moon.
Suggestion.
Event NPC collectors popping up for a weekend and trading all those charr carvings etc. for something that is just for fun. Silly hats are good. As are transmogrification potions, and maybe even a one use item that gives you a random temporary mini pet following you around for a couple of minutes, or a random special dance effect while under the effect of it.
Just totally useless, but just for fun things.
(Oh and alcohol and sweeties of course :P)

Then one that we've had sometime ago, but which was not listed:
Double quest rewards.
The replayability of Snowball and Dragon arena is immense. Such a simple concept, so much fun.

I already posted my top 5, but I have to say that UW/FoW event was better than expected, I was able to test a lot of builds, (still need more to test), anyway that was the BEST PvE event I have seen in GW, plenty simple event indeed but I entered UW/FoW more times this weekend than in all my GW play time. This was the only PvE event able to make me stop play PvP.

Not in any order.
* Dyes
* Double XP
* Gamer Weekend (access to Shing Jea Boardwalk, Dragon Arena, Rollerbeetle Racing)
* Snowball Arena
* Shamrock Ale and Four-Leaf Clover
I know lots in [DAD] enjoy the access events but I've never been very good in those areas and farming drives me nuts.
The XP helps me get my new characters up to level 20 faster, which is handy considering how often I make new ones. The dye, obviously, is needed for their armour.
The things that help increse your titles are always handy but since I do mostly PvE it's only really the drunken title and others like it that I'm bothered about.
Finally I think everybody enojoys doing something different now and again so the gamer events and things like Snowball Arena help relive boredom.
Basically, I'm happy with what you've been doing and hope you just keep doing it, modifications to each event will help prevent it getting too repetative (for example, the Dragon festival and the Year of the Pig).

1) access to event arenas (dragon/snowball arena)
2) event drops (clovers)
all the other weekends were just slightly different from the otherwise already available in-game mode, nothing really special about them.

I'm not pve focused, but I did take part in some. In order I would choose:
- UW/FOW free access weekend, and I'll discuss a little more on this bellow.
- Elite Areas free access
- Shing Jea Board Events area
- Event Drops
- Triple Green Weekends (helps you build your heroes, basically)
UW/FOW is probably the best idea so far, because, and this has already been exhaustively discussed before, it no longer makes sense to link the access to uw/fow to heroes' ascent. People already choose where they want to be, and I don't think pve centred people want to go to fight in heroes, I mean, I wouldn't. I'd even sugest you use this event on even weekends, and do something else on odd weekends regularly. It would be nice to plan to play pve on the said weekends, and would be fair for people who never get favor when they play.

No drops for Henchman and Heroes weekend
Every month a new Headgear
Make events weeklong

[QUOTE=Clone...They should be permanant. When alternate access to the warren and deep were promised, I expected a lasting improvement to the game, not just a weekend of reduced annoyances to entrance.
#2 Elite Missions
#3 The Fissure of Woe and The Underworld
Also, for 3, I have no problem with continuing to pay a fee, or even paying more should my area not have favor. ...QUOTE]
I second this notion. Last time I was in The Deep/Urgoz, they were pretty barren, and having to wait around for a ferry in the Cavalon/House zu Heltzer ghost-towns isn't terribly interesting.
I'd like to see open FoW/UW and pay if a region doens't have favor, and maybe the same concept with the Elite missions where you pay if your guild/alliance doesn't own the town.
